Lord, Help me
to live a life of true charity,
to think kindly of other people
and to wish them well.
Help me also to look
for the good in each person,
for it is the good that I am to love,
rather than any externals.
Help me also remember
that it is not angelic
to judge the evils in a person,
unless, at the same time,
I search for what is good in him,
for that is charity.
